We are happy to quote for all types of work, large or small, from a high class European oak conservatory, down to a set of softwood architraves.

We pride ourselves on our supply and fit service and on our fast free estimating service.

So if ever you feel the need for some fully finished traditional windows or a made to measure staircase do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank you for your time and we look forward to assisting you in any future projects, with kind regards Peter Munday (Managing Director Applewood Joinery Ltd).

Our quality control can only be maintained if we have a highly skilled and motivated workforce. We therefore strongly believe in the value of our employees and promote a spirit of cooperation, teamwork and continuous improvement. We have a high regard for health & safety issues and ensure we provide pleasant and safe working conditions for all our employees.

The styling detail of our products is based on historically researched moulded sections which are particularly suitable for renovation and new projects requiring a traditional appearance. The subtle shallow lines of these mouldings create the delicate slender effect of traditional profiles, and are virtually indistinguishable from the originals.

Flexibility on sizes
Because of the nature of our products, we've ensured that our manufacturing process is fully geared-up to handle made-to measure sizes to suit our customers' specific requirements.

Environmental policy
Our products are of course predominantly manufactured from timber, all of which comes from sustainable forest sources. The use of engineered wood components reduces the volume of raw materials overall, and waste from our manufacturing process is kept to a minimum and recycled wherever possible. For example, wood shavings are collected and distributed for animal bedding, whilst timber off-cuts are used as heating fuel.

British Woodworking Federation (BWF) Membership Number: 61331

Wood is beautiful, sustainable and durable. It can put the finishing touches to the home of your dreams, and increase its value.

However it is important to choose the right material and the right supplier whether you are a homeowner, architect, specifier or builder.

The British Woodworking Federation is the trade association for the woodworking and joinery manufacturing industry in the UK. It has over 500 members drawn from manufacturers, distributors and installers of timber doors, windows, conservatories, and staircases, all forms of architectural joinery including shopfitting, timber frame buildings and engineered timber components, as well as suppliers to the industry. The total turnover of the BWF's manufacturing membership in 2005 was approximately £617 million.

The Federation strives to provide the best possible service to its members and to ensure that service represents the best value for their subscription fee. We believe this is the basis of our success in recruiting and retaining members; it drives us on towards achieving our ambition to be the trade association of choice for every woodworking enterprise in the UK.

The BWF brings together individuals and companies within the industry to share problems and experiences and find solutions together. We offer regular opportunities for members to rub shoulders with their competitors and suppliers, whether formally in Federation Committees, or informally at BWF Social events.

Fenestration Self-Assessment Scheme (FENSA) Membership Number: 30338

When having windows and doors replaced homeowners must comply with current thermal performance standards and ensure that they get a certificate of compliance from FENSA or from Local Authority Building Control. FENSA also enables companies that install replacement windows and doors to self certify compliance under these Building Regulations.

When homeowners hire a FENSA installer, they can be assured that the replacement window and door installation on their property is self-certified as complying with the Building Regulations. The FENSA building regulations certificate that homeowners receive are inserted into the Home Information Pack. Equally important is that homeowners are offered greater protection against 'cowboys' because FENSA installers need to meet certain eligibility criteria to be registered with FENSA, and their installation work is continually reassessed by an independent inspection body. FENSA carries out the research on its installers so that homeowners do not have to.
